Korean Pollack Soup & Korean Pollack Stew
in the making of the Korean Pollack Soup (Book-Eo Guk)
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
•1 cup dried and shredded pollack, cut into 1 inch strips
•1 tsp minced garlic
•1 tsp sesame oil
•5 cups water
•1 tsp salt
•2 eggs, beaten
•2 or 3 Chinese leeks or scallions, cut into 1 inch strips
Preparation:
1.Over medium heat in a soup pot, stir fry pollack pieces and garlic in sesame oil for 2-3 minutes. 2. Add 5 cups of water and salt and bring up to a boil.
3. Reduce to simmer for about 10 minutes.
4.Blend beaten egg and scallions together.
5.Drizzle egg and scallion mixture slowly into soup, stirring gently in the same direction.
6.Take off heat after a couple minutes.
7.Adjust to taste with salt and black pepper.

• 2 frozen half dried pollack
• 1/2 Medium size Asian radish, peeled & sliced
FOR SEASONING SAUCE
•2 tsp sugar
•3 Tbsp soy sauce
•2 tsp roasted sesame seed
•1 Tbsp minced garlic
•1 tsp red pepper flakes
•a pinch of ground black pepper
• 1 1/2 tsp sesame seed oil
•2 green onions, thinly sliced
Direction:
1.Dried pollacks are soaked in warm water overnight before you cook. Drain water out, trim off the head, tail & the low fins a caudal, bones, then cut it 2 inches length.
2. Prepare the seasoning sauce -mix all ingredients.
3. Spread the sliced raddish at the bottom of the saucepan, then the trimmed pollack & pour the sauce over it.
4.Then add 1/4 cup of water, cover and boil about 5 minutes then simmer until the sauce disappears about 1/2 way.

A small birthday party in advance for my lovely daughter Fatin Amily. She will turn 6 years old next week 1/7/2010. She really wanted this party..every day keep asking me.. mama when is my birthday? can you make party for me?

Kalau nak ikutkan hati another one week we back to Malaysia for holiday rasa macam nak packing barang-barang je dan malas nak buat makan-makan ni...
So 'tak sampai hati' to say NO to her...so I try my best to prepare a small birthday party with her classmate, few of my neighbours too

Even though not so many her classmate turn out...due to some of them already take a holiday in advance, FIFA fever...but the happiest person is my daughter...she very excited when her friends come to her party......enjoyed eating, playing together

At the same day...a small birthday party for my daughter advanced birthday with her classmate...she wanted to invite her classmate. Exceli her birthday next week...but by next week we one family want to go summer holiday to Malaysia..
